In spring 2005, construction of one of the largest oil extraction plants in Russia began in the village of Kolodezny, Voronezh region. 130 million US dollars were invested in the implementation of the project. On November 28, 2007, the first stage of the complex was launched. A year later, in autumn 2008, the plant was inaugurated, and the second stage of the production complex – the Pressing and Extraction departments and the railway infrastructure – was launched.
Today, the sunflower oil production annual capacity is over 600 thousand mt, which allows us to sell over 250 million bottles of top-quality sunflower oil and over 250 thousand mt of high-protein sunflower meal used in animal production.
Also, for bulk sale, the plant annually produces over 1,000 mt of premium sunflower lecithin and over 60 thousand mt of sunflower hull fuel pellets.
The oil extraction plant is furnished with modern and technologically advanced equipment that guarantees safe production and minimal waste: even sunflower hulls are used as raw materials in the own boiler house.
Effective round-the-clock operation of the plant is provided by a team of professionals using best Russian and foreign practices based on the Total Productive Maintenance and Lean Production concepts. We provide ongoing in-plant training, support the system of peer-to-peer coaching and apply multifunctional approaches to work. Many of our employees have been working at the plant since the start of construction - that is for more than 18 years.
